Remarkable Achievement in Record Time

In collaboration between SE & Sign Electric, an old 24 kV MV-SWG (8 Flair 300 cells),
in service for more than 22 years, has been replaced with a new MV-SWG (9 EvoPacT cells).

This is the first installation & commissioning of EvoPacT executed by SE, requiring a high level of technical preparation, coordination, & integration among all parties. therefore SE selected Sign Electric to be the subcontractor for this special task.

To minimize the shutdown duration, extensive planning & pre-preparation were done, including the readiness of equipment, tools, & work teams, with all possible activities completed in advance.

During the shutdown, the dismantling & installation works were completed in 13 hours, followed by 11 hours of testing, so the total shutdown duration did not exceed 24 hours.

All challenges & issues were addressed immediately without affecting the schedule.

After re-energization in accordance with approved safety procedures, final follow-up
& testing were done in full compliance with safety & quality standards.

This project will remain an exemplary model of cooperation, demonstrating the complete replacement of MV-SWG in just 24 hours while the factory continued to operate.
